In order to prevent ferret math:
 
I DO NOT go into PetCo, or any other pet store that sells ferrets.
 
I have a friend go to the pet store to buy food for the ferts.
 
I occassionally buy food from The Ferret Store.
(There aren't any shelters in the area.)
 
I play with other people's ferrets when I want to spend time with a "new"
ferret
 
I foster ferrets for Humane Society so I can have more, just not forever
(unless I want to pay the $90 adoption fee).
 
I live in an apartment where I have to pay a per pet fee.
