I too have to agree with Troy Lynn about what is going on with the Petco
store. I was in there recently with Troy Lynn and saw just how tiny
and weak one of the kits was. thank goodness a friend of Troy Lynn's
purchased the little guy and now he is being very lovingly cared for by
Troy Lynn. Every ferret should be soooooo lucky!
Anyhow, I spoke with Marshall's and they "assured" me that they never
ever send kits out under the age of 8 weeks, however the clerk at the
Petco store informed us that the kits they are receiving are anywhere
from 4 to 8 weeks of age. He said they sometimes have to "keep them in
the back until they're old enough to sell". Makes me wonder, just who is
fibbing here??? the poor little guy that Troy Lynn's friend purchased
didn't have much in the way of teeth, and their food was so smashed down
and hard that they couldn't grasp it to eat. when it was stirred up,
they went nuts trying to get to it.
Everything has been done to try and educate these people as to the proper
care and feeding of these little guys, yet every time we go into the
store, there they are again, tiny and weak. They are not feeding
Marshall's food even after being told that this is what the little guys
are fed up to the point of shipment. I have emailed the Petco people and
keep getting assured that they are checking in from time to time, however
it just seems to keep happening. Unfortunately, I am not wealthy enough
to purchase every kit in need of food and care, and have a houseful as it
is. Anyone got any ideas???? this just can't keep happening.
