Hi Paula, not all ferrets have nice smooth coats, some naturally have very
coarse coats, I used to call then terrier ferrets. I have not seen any
for a while because only people who worked their ferrets were happy with
that type of coat. I had a cold wet half dead little male brought to me
one night and after drying him off I thought the best place for him was
in with 2 breeder jills I had caged together ready to be mated. In the
morning I expected to find him dead but I found him alive, very active and
he had already mated with the 2 jills. I was not over pleased with the 18
coarse coated kits my 2 prise winning silky coated polecat jills produced
that year. Chris.
