Hey Guys,
I posted a response I had received from Marshall Farms a two weeks ago,
asking them to please take a look at Wilcox, one of their distributers in
Va. Beach. VA. Apparently they did, as I have heard from a few folks
that reported that as of two weeks ago, no pet stores had any kits! I
made a few calls here in Richmond and found the same thing- no kits. One
store manager in Va. Beach was royally pissed, but was hoping to get in
some ferrets later that week from a new distributor. Meanwhile, I know
a local breeder who sold 7 kits in one weekend and I believe that Ferret
Haven bythe Sea's adoptions were up- Our adoptions here in Richmond are
up also- Tracie Belongia is our most awesome adoption director, and she
adopted out 5 ferrets just this past Thursday! Yay, Tracie! We still
have about 40 special needs or elderly ferrets between our 3 locations,
but we are doing well- And I'm amazed that MF actually did pay attention
and respond to a problem- makes my opinion of them that much better.
Let's hope Wilcox is cut off for good.
Dooks & Hugs,
Marlene B./ Director/ RFRL
