Before I hit my local shelter, who is actually very low on ferrets at the
moment, I would like to say that my doors are opene and I can take in two
more furr-butts!!
I went exploring in y lovely basement (B/F llived here forever, none of
my stuff) and lo and behold, I found A FERRET Cage!!! Now, I have three.
whoohooo! actually, this is a 4 foot by 3 foot bt 4 foot cage with no
shelves, but I will soon fix that! It will be a temporary cage to keep
the newbies separated from the gang until we all get along and we are
sure everyone is a-ok. So, before I hit the shelter and take the only
remaining ferret who the owner really wants to keep as a personal ferret,
I would like to offer my home to antone who runs a shelter or is fostering
ferrets here in Norther NJ, or to someone who is willing to travel to meet
me with new babies. I acept rescues, surrenders, and ferrets who need a
forever home. I would prefer youngr guys and gals, less than 4 years, as
mine are uper-hyper and I am afraid they would terrorize any old guys and
gals. I have a zoo, so younger ones seem to adjust better. Colrs--ferret
colored will be fine. deafness--huh? did you say something? I don't
care. Blindness--as long as they like other ferrets and don't freak on
cats? Nippy--we will wrk on it. Ferret daemons who tear up the household
carpet?--what carpet? Now the bggie--insolumnia--um, never dealt with it,
but am willing to give it a go if I can get a mentor to help me. That
goes for other diseases, too. I have not had to deal with ferret disiese,
but am willing to try. However, I have the $ for my babies and enough for
the newbies, but my pocketbook only stretches so far. I would rather get
a healthy carpet shark and donate more money to those who have sick ones
and know what to do. I live in Randolph, NJ and am willing to drive
within reason. Heck, I am home today..LOL!
