I would like to know if I am doing my ferrets any harm by feeding them on
a dry cat food which has a lower protein content, each day my fetters and
cats get 1 - 2 ounces each of a cheap dry cat food, then as a main meal
they get raw mince, which can be anything my butcher has offal, heart,
lungs, liver, tripe plus I get my butcher to add suite, fat or lard. In
the summer when the weather is hot they tend to get more dry food because
the raw mince attract fly's.

The only reason I am asking is because when I have mentioned about feed
my ferret on the dry cat food on other lists I have been shouted down and
told that I should be allowed to keep ferrets. My oldest ferret was born
in 1990 and all my ferrets are reaching 10+ years.
