Good for you for standing up for your babies.
 
As for the biting....my instinct is that Pazzi is picking up on the fear,
anger, and hostility of the roomie.  Perhaps he's even trying to protect
you from her!
 
Maybe if you could talk your roomie into playing with Pazzi, something
"safe" like towel rides, they'd get comfortable with each other and not
be so fearful.
