(Somewhat off-topic, I guess, but I wanted to respond to this)
The best thing you could do is learn to appreciate the spiders. Look at
them as free insect control. They wouldn't be there if they couldn't
"make a living," so you probably have insects in your apartment that the
spiders are eliminating for you. Very few spiders are harmful to people
or pets.
If your apartment was vacant for a while, the spiders probably had a
comfortable place to hang out. Chances are that you will see fewer and
fewer of them as you set up a housekeeping routine, making it a less
hospitable place for both insects and spiders. When you do see an
occasional spider, just stop and say "thank you."
