Lisette...all I can say is been there/done that. I have physical "issues"
as well. I also have a brother who took his life five years ago and I
have struggled with D most of my life. I'm Dysthymic which basically
means I constantly carry some level of it with me always. Thank you for
being candid and honest.
One honest to God lifesaver (literally) has been my critters. Most people
tease me that I have a zoo because besides my three fuzzies, I have two
dogs, 5 cats, 13 birds (& 4 keet eggs - maybe a grandmother soon?) and an
aquarium. If it comes down to a choice in the evening of watching
television or simply sitting in the ferret's room, the ferrets win hands
down. I have one deaf little girl who I've thoroughly enjoyed seeing come
out of her shell. I've only had her since the end of December and my two
have taught her the ins & outs of ferretdom. She tube races (and steals
EVERYTHING) with the best of them. When you're feeling down, grab a tube
a ferretvite and sit amongst your family whether an active or passive
participant. My ferrets never fail to bring a smile to my face with their
antics and their love. Best of all, their love is unconditional.
Email me off list anytime! I understand and you're not alone. Be Well.

ps...the story the other day I think about Sabrina - OMG that just filled
me with emotion and inevitably tears. They can be soooo sweet that you
forget they're little terrors in disguise :)
