Oh yeah, I noticed that ferrets are mentioned in the Harry Potter books.
Once as food for Hippogriffs (UNTHINKABLE!) and the second time, Mad Eye
Moody changed Malfoy into a white ferret and bounced him viciously against
the floor and walls for misbehaving.  I noticed and thought it was rather
barbaric both times.  However, I sure do love those books. :-)  Ferrets
are just getting bad wrap as food and playthings, though!  Poor guys...
 
April and the crew of head shaking, shocked eight ferrets who say, "I'd
never be someone's dinner!  I am the predator!"  :-)
