To all my friends at the FML,
I felt your love and sympathy in so many ways through the letters and
cards you sent about Meep's passing.  It is really hard to convey how
much your thoughts and prayers, as well as words of support mean to me,
and to my family.  Meep was our first ferret, and because of him we came
to love them all.
 
Our Daisy is doing pretty well.  She hunted and sniffed for Meep the first
couple of days, but now seems to have given that up.  We are watching her
fairly closely for depression and loneliness and trying to engage her in
play more.  She always adored Meep and never failed to clean his ears
whenever he joined her.  Surprisingly, our Shetland Sheepdog, Shelley,
seems to really miss Meep as well.  They were pretty good buddies and
often played together.  It will be a long time before I quit looking for
Meep to come around the corner or swat my ankle looking for a raisin or
bit of banana.  Thank you so much for caring!  I hope that I did answer
everyone who sent me a personal note, if not, please know how much they
meant and how important they were.
