If you want to give regularly to the SOS, there are a number of bill-
paying services on the net who will do this for you.  The one I use is
PayTrust (www.paytrust.com).  You can instruct them to issue a check
against your checking account on any schedule you choose to any payee you
choose - such as a monthly payment to SOS.
 
There is a fee for these services - typically $10-15 per month - but you
can also use them to pay other bills.  You can also have your regular
bills (utilities, credit cards, etc) mailed to them, and they will pay
them (from your checking account) for you.
 
It's an option, anyway.
