Sorry if this is too unrelated, but I would like to know some links to
information about black footed ferret breeding programs in the US and
Canada. As I understand, there are no Canadian breeding programs and I
am interested in finding out how to gather support for getting something
started. I heard that Bush has (or plans to ) cut funding for projects
such as these and I would like to know where the US BFF projects stand
now. I believe that the only Canadian facility that has BFFs is the
Toronto Zoo, does anyone know if there are any other places in Canada that
have them?

Anyways, to make this more 'ferret' related: my oldest girl has begun to
really act old lately (she's 8). She's clumsy and misses the litterbox a
LOT (grr). Her organs feel hard, harder than the other ferrets. What I
think is her spleen is quite large (left side, below the rib cage). I
made an appointment for her at my exotics vet in two weeks, I plan to get
her glucose checked, does anyone think this sounds like something I should
have her checked for specifically (besides insulinoma)?

Thanks in advance
