Hello Group,
Our shelter, Cloud Nine Ferrets, has recently had a few surrendered
ferrets that haven't been descented. We descented one little girl who
also had to be neutered (kind of a two-for-one deal) but we really didn't
have a choice with Emma--she had to be neutered so the descenting was
simply added in. Our question now is whether to descent the others.
The other three fuzzies are already neutered.
I remember from the symposium this year that a few folks recommended not
descenting and I probably wouldn't descent a ferret I planned to keep as
a personal but what have you guys done about your adoptables...descented
or not.
Do you have a problem adopting scented fuzzies? How do you handle this?
We'd appreciate hearing from you guys 'cause Mark and I split on what do
to. -- descent (Mark) or don't descent(me.) Guess I'm asking for
referees:>)
Thanks,
Judy Wallace
