I want to take a moment to say thank you to a few more of the wonderful
and generous ferret friends that have given so much to help these kids
that have lost everything; their homes, families, and many even their
names.

Thank you to...

Kim Elias, for giving up 3 days of work to drive across the country with
me (3200 miles), helping load and unload (many times) ferrets in cages to
clean horrible litterboxes and bedding, replenish food and water bowls,
and give these little ones a chance at a new life.

Anne Ryan, for your generous donation to provide ADV testing for these
kids, and offering your loving care to one of our more compromised groups.

Linda Iroff, for coming and camping 'in' at my house, which is a mess!
You are a brave woman! Linda, thank you for helping subQ, hand feed, swab
mouths for ADV tests, replenishing countless food bowls, water bottles and
bowls, cleaning litterboxes, helping wash and fold loads and loads of
bedding, and all the loving and playing with the kids. (Not to mention
cooking!) They needed it so badly.

Judy Cooke, for coming up to spend a day at the shelter to help. Thank
you for the beautiful hammocks. For the pictures you took... when I went
to the website, even though I have been up to my ankles in little fuzzy
loves, I saw a different picture. I didn't see subQs needed, or
litterboxes, or multiple meds and hand feedings. I saw beautiful little
ferret faces, which were victims of someone elses failures. Failure to
keep a pet for forever. Failure of a guardian to find them a new home.
Failure to receive necessary medical care. Judy, thank you for sharing
with the world how truly beautiful these kids are.

Tom and Kat Parsons, for the donation and paper towels. Both will be put
to good use. Thank you, also for handling one of our transports. These
kids are one step closer to their forever homes.

Linda Harrah, for always being there for me, whenever I've had a question.
Not just this week, either. Thank you for sending the Tylan. I have used
it with 2 boys, and I can see a difference already.

Pat Andrews, for the phenominal crocheted play mat. The kids just love
it. One little boy was boxing with one of the crocheted 'eggs' attached
to it. It is definitely one of their favorite attractions, ranking right
up there with my computer mouse!

Kim Wolf, for the lovely hammocks. It was so thoughtful of you to take
the time to make them. They will fit the carriers so nicely!

Dr. Chad Higgins, of the Amanda Animal Hospital, for the excellent care
you've given all out shelter kids for the last 3 years. Without your
medical support, we could not have survived. Thank you for your donation
of the antibiotics, other supplies, and the surgeries that are so badly
needed.

Joe Palko at the Ferret Store, for the food. It is appreciated. Thank
you, too, for the many other times you have come through for the ferrets.

Path Valley Farms, for donating the Path Valley Ferret Food. We
appreciate your kind generosity.

Dr. Tom Willard, of Performance Foods, for the Totally Ferret Food. My
supply was nearly out, so it came at just the right time.

Lola, for choosing two cages that had a special needs fur kid in each.
You are a special lady. I know they will be loved and well cared for.
Thank you for helping transport the other fur kids to the families near
you. That kind offer helped so much.

Thank you to all who have donated to SOS. The meds, fluids, Gerbers and
AD for the kids with ulcers (or whatever was causing the black tarry
stools), ADV testing, antibiotics and nutritional supplements have been
quite costly. 6 of our kids are on soft food/hand feedings. We have had
3 surgeries, with 3 more scheduled for Tuesday. Your generosity makes it
possible for Rescues to happen.

Thank you to all the families and other shelters that have taken these
kids in. These little guys thank you from the bottoms of their sweet
little hearts.

Julie
