Hi

I was wondering if anyone could offer some advise or if anyone has had the
same problem that I've been having.

My ferret Everest has always eaten Marshall ferret food, last week I
noticed that I was running low on his usual food so I bought and opened a
new bag and began pouring the new food into his bowl (same brand). Two
days had passed and I noticed his food was untouched and he had not
pooped. I immediately thought something was wrong and he was sick, but he
was acting normal. I remembered that I had given him the new food those
last couple of days and luckily I still had a little food left over in the
old bag so I offered it too him. He devoured the pellets I gave him and
begged for more, I offered him the food I had just bought and he rejected
it and continued to beg for the other. I have exchanged the new food 4
times at different pet stores, he will not eat it, absolutely refuses to
touch it. I let him go a couple days eating his old food and he went back
to eating great, the minute I switched to the new food he stopped again.
The only thing I notice is that the new food smells a little different
(kind of like dog food) and the color seems darker. I have contacted
Marshall Ferret Products and they assure me they have not done anything
different with the ingredients or way they make or package their food.
They have even asked me to send samples of both foods to see if they can
figure out what the problem is.

Meanwhile my good food is starting to run out and I am worried about what
I will do once I'm out and he refuses to eat the new one.

PLEASE if anyone is having similar problems let me know and also contact
Marshall Pet Products @ 1-800-292-3424 (ask for Becky) and if anyone can
offer advise my ferret Everest and I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you,
Carolina and ferret Everest
