Howdy, All...
 
Thanks to all who have kept Tripod Bob in the running in the photo contest
at http://www.fuzzycentral.com/contest.asp
 
Short plug: please vote for him.
 
The bad news is that today we noticed a mass developing in his pelvic
area -- a very rapid growing one -- and are concerned about possible
prostate cancer.  He just came out of surgery two months ago for removal
of a skin tumor.  Now we're almost 100% likely to be going back in for a
more involved procedure.  I called the emergency vet on-call and, based
on his signs (active, still eating and peeing normally -- though we're
keeping a close eye on that tonight) made an appointment for tomorrow.
 
Bob is the last remaining of the original Fearsome Foursome -- Fossa,
Socrates, and Lily have all preceded him in crossing the Bridge and he
has not made friends with another ferret since.  Please keep him in your
thoughts this week...
