I am from the Sacramento area (but currently live in Maine) so I check
the Sacramento Bee newspaper online daily.  Just thought you might be
interested to know that all those signatures made the paper!!

Ferret fans deliver signatures asking for governor's signature

After biking 62 miles, ferret activists delivered more than 43,000
signatures to Gov. Gray Davis Wednesday, urging him to sign a bill that
would move ferret legalization one step forward.
