It's been a very long tiring day so will try to word this post properly.

Eleven days ago, a post was written by me concerning a black bump in our
ferrets fur. Since then, the ferret was to the vet and the vet aspired the
bump which turned out to be a clear water cyst. The vet said "a cyst could
be genetic and once a ferret gets one they can be prone to get another."
Today, eleven days later, our ferret "again" has another cyst about 1/8
inch from the original cyst. Am now totally disappointed because we didn't
expect another cyst to appear eleven days later. Have read BIG's archives
on cysts and found only 24 cyst posts in 6 years. Went to four other
health related web sites and didn't even find any information on cysts.
Our vet checked for cancer and didn't find any. A few posts mentioned
using a pathologist so can anyone tell me why this type of specialist is
used, versus my vet checking for cancer? Also, any suggestions on what
to do with this new small cyst which looks and feels exactly like the old
cyst? Exactly how common do cysts occur if any knows this data? Eleven
days after aspiring the original cyst, the ferret has a new one now.
Please email me with a response. TIA

Debbie
