Well, Kari died this week. It was not much of a surprise as her lymphoma
was terminal, but it is the latest in a string of losses which really hits
hard (both for me and my human kids). Last summer we had 6 ferrets and
now we have two. If Amy Flemming is out there, this was Kari we adopted
from you. Kari was a sweet little badger ferret who was deaf (or really
good at ignoring things). We think she was 4 or 5. Now all our little
girls have left us, leaving Zorro and Mister to huddle together in a small
ferret heap. Sugar, Misty, Duncan, and Curly met her at the bridge.
For so long 6 seemed like a good bunch. Now two in the cage seem so
lonely. My five human kids miss them all too.
