The reason is that if you're a ferret sleeping in a pile of other fuzzies,
and begin to vigorously scratch... there'd be a passel of mad ferrets
with black eyes and bruised ribs... the itching ferret could easily get
lynched... therefore the "Run first, Scratch second" law.
 
Proving once again beyond the shadow of a doubt that ferrets are smarter
than we are.
