Well, after sitting back patiently, it seems some truths have come to light
regarding the ferrets in Utah.
The original post about the Utah ferrets glared the words, "Ferrets will be
euthanized!!" Apparently, that was untrue. And now we are learning that
the ferrets were in a CONDO?? UGH! That she did not operate a SHELTER
but rather was a COLLECTOR.
It seems to me that there was a lot of hysteria created by untruths and
"omissions". This reminds me of Urban Myths and Legends that get
circulated on the Internet by well-intentioned individuals. The problem
is, generally, these things get whipped into such a frenzy that nothing
is clear and the facts get more diluted.
In short, I'm proud of Lisette(Lu), illian, and Anon for taking the time to
check the facts... just the facts, ma'am. I wasn't about to jump on THIS
bandwagon until the truth was "ferreted out". And now we see that this
wasn't a shelter, that the ferrets were living in cramped conditions in a
condo... and that the ferrets are NOT going to be euthanized.
When people make poor decisions and bite off more than they can chew, it's
up to the rest of "us" to pick up the pieces. Sadly, the animals suffer...
but I don't know if they suffer any more than they originally did! I don't
feel sorry for this Jen... she brought this on herself but I do feel bad
for the ferrets who were cramped in cages, who didn't get the individual
love and attention they deserved...
THis probably sounds cold hearted. I don't mean it to be... I only mean
to keep a foot securely planted in REALITY.
