Hi, just a note.  I wanted to give everyone an idea that one of our ferret
club members came up with.
 
To make a cheap ferret toy:
Take several big liter plastic soda bottles, cut off each end leaving just
a tube.  Tape the "tubes" together with duct tape....Ta Da...inexpensive
and fun tubing for the fuzzies to play in.  If you have more then one
ferret and one is inside it is funny to watch, since they can "see" each
other.  When the tube becomes dirty, or damaged recylcle and start over.
 
Any other ideas out there?
