Black Bump in Fur

One of our ferrets has a black bump in her fur near her neck.  The lump
doesn't look like a mass cell tumor, per pictures I've seen online.  The
bump is probably 1/4 inch long and may be an eighth inch wide.  She seems
to be acting normal.  We do plan to take her to the vets, but wondered if
more experienced ferret owners might know what this could be?  If possible,
could you email me with a response.  Thanks!
