ping pong balls might be better, if you can afford to buy many of them.
I got the balls at a Zellers as a box of 75, which is sort of a general
department type store like Walmart in the states. the balls are about 3"
in diameter, soft plastic (you can squish they slightly). when I first
put them out and put the ferrets in, most of they tried climbing out right
away but had trouble because the balls were big and slippery. they weren't
very co-ordinated and in control (bit like in the movie). not all of them
like playing in it that much. I was considering getting a ball box of ping
pongs instead but those are too expensive (anybody know where I can buy
them in bulk?). bottom line, they don't like it that much, so might not
be worth the effort, they use the rice box way more often.
