Hi, all!
I've gotten a few replies from people who'd like to "adopt" black-footed
ferrets on their own and wanted the address, so here it is!
The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
4250 Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Road
Colorado Springs, CO 80906
(719) 633-9925
They need to know your Name, Address & Phone#, which animal you'd like to
"adopt"(I think you can adopt any animal that they have. Contact me if
you'd like a full list, I won't clutter up the FML if I don't need to).
Your payment is tax-deductible, they'll take checks, VISA or MC.
With each adoption of $25 or more, you'll get an adoption certificate,
a fact sheet about your animal, your name on the Zoo Display Board,
A subscription to "The Waterhole", Invitations to "Zoopendous" events,
and Two invitations to the Annual Adopt-an-Animal Day at the Zoo.
Also, there are other "gifts" you'll receive if you donate $50 or more.
But you have to donate over $250 to get a color photo of your animal.
Yee-ikes! However, if you donate over $500, you get a Behind-the-Scenes
Tour of your Wild Child's habitat. That would be neat!
For those who may still be interested in adopting as a group, keep
writing to me! There have only been about three so far, but I think
we can come up with $25 amongst the four of us (counting me!)
