Hi-

This past weekend I travelled to Alaska for my sister's wedding and left
my husband in charge of our pets. (3 cats, 1 dog, 3 gerbils, 2 ferrets
and 2 ferrets we were sitting.)

On Friday, my husband came down with the flu. By Sunday all four ferrets
had diarrhea. The two temp ferrets went home and are now healthy. But
our two elderly ferrets (both with insulinomas and one suspected adrenal)
got the green goo.

I felt so helpless in Alaska. It was an awful feeling, not being down
here to help make them all better. Patch refused his yummy raspberry
pediapred and wouldn't eat. My husband felt too sick to take care of
them.

Luckily, we have a very good vet. On Monday, the ferrets were taken to
the vet for care. I came home yesterday evening. Today I will call the
vet and hopefully can pick up my sweeties tonight. Both ferrets are not
eating, so the vet staff has been handfeeding them.

I hope they will get better soon.
