I came home from church tonight, left out some moist canned food and added
a can of corn so there was more than just kibble left out for the wild
guys, kept the door open--but made sure the screen was locked securely.
I took care of Little-who is very close to death now-and tucked him in
bed. When I returned, the ferrets were pressed up against the screen.
Mini-Me was climbing it.
There in front of me was a sight I have never seen in all these years--2
opossum eating together. They have always been loners when they eat, and
hiss and make ugly guttural noises if another opossum comes along to eat.
God forbid one even take a step on the porch
Here then, I imagine, was a mother and child, or 2 lovers?
*I was delighted and surprised: an unusual scene that just made my whole
day. Mini-Me climbed down from her bat woman performance, ran over, bit
my hand, and danced away chattering. *SHE was--just Mini-Me.
