WHAO! NO! Even though he is only 9 weeks..! BTW, He sure will grow out of
some of the playfulness, but the biting has to stop! It's part of the reason
Ferrets have such bad reputations. But just as you'd do with a kitten, you
have to show him that he is NOT to do that and that you will NOT put up with
it under any circumstances whatever! People have told me things to try. One
person I wrote to bites them back. I flick them a good one on the nose, like
you'd flick a marble..<POP> That does it. But some are more stubborn. If
they don't leanr not to bite now...they will be awful aas they get older.
Another thing...don't play with him with your hands. I mean..wrestling with
your bare hand the way some people do with dogs etc...that encourages
biting. Instead, try a sock, mine are nuts for a sock! Or a cat toy,
whatever, but never ever your hand. And if he isn't broken of this...and he
bites a child, and doesn't have his rabies vaccine..I don't know what state
you are in but...where I am, they ask no questions, they take the animal and
destry it to check for rabies. It's awful.
Also...you can be sure he'll calm down ashe gets older....sorta. <GG> As for
hiding things, and knocking drinks over..well..you could use those car cups,
the funny shaped ones that don't spill? <GG> Aw..they may get that over too
though. <G> I have one who steals stuffed toys. Another hides her food. I
don't think that can be broken. At least I don't know how. Oh....bitter
apple is good except you wouldn't want that on your glasses...<GGG> But for
your carton...I guess. <g> Maybe he wants you to stay healthy. G,D,RLH!!
