A trio of ferrets were surrendered to the Durham Animal Shelter last week,
and looking for a new home together. I am told the surrenderer requested
the trio to be euthanized, as she was moving and no longer wanting to care
for them. The Durham Animal Shelter refused euthanizing them. The trio
were adopted in '99, so the new adopter should keep them (together) for
the remainder of their life span.
Stats that I know:
5yo male black/silver (or sable?),
est. 3.5 yo male albino, and
est. 3.5 yo cream colored (dark-eyed) female
As per the public county shelter policy, they have been holding them for
a week, caged 24/7. They are now up for adoption. If interested in
adopting, please contact the Durham Animal Shelter - 919-560-0640 (open
M-F 10:30-5p, Sat 9:30-12p) or me at 919-231-3222.
