I have been posting about Tigger's sickness for a couple of weeks now.
She stopped eating (had to be force fed), had swollen lymph nodes and an
enlarged spleen as well as an inflamed stomach. After many diagnostic
tests and treatments which were doing no good, today our vet finally did
exploratory surgery. Guess what he found - adrenal gland disease. Her
stomach and intestines looked fine, and he could find no other problem.
She had suffered no hair loss, no swollen vulva, none of what I consider
the usual symptoms. Although my vet says anorexia can be a symptom. When
Pooh had this problem, he was eating and drinking MORE than usual. What
strange little creatures these ferrets are! I was just glad to hear it
wasn't anything worse. Thanks to everyone for their concern.
