Hi Chris,
Could you add this person to the ferret list for me? He may want to be
kept anonymous.
[He will be, but if he doesn't get this, you'll have to give me an address
(I guessed at his userid at your machine. Boy do you have a wierd
mailer]
Thanks,

Subject: Ferrets?
To: pet_owners:
Any ferret owners out there? I've been presented with an
opportunity to get one from a friend of my brother-in-law.
However, I live in Massachusetts, and as I understand it,
it is at the very least illegal to sell ferrets in MA. Is
it also illegal to own one as a pet?
Also, I am curious. As I understand it, 48 states consider
ferrets to be domesticated pets in the same fashion as dogs
and cats. Only Massachusetts and Connecticut are different.
Anyone out there have any idea why? And is there any likelyhood
that this situation may change?
>From what I've heard, ferrets are -extremely- intelligent and
friendly animals, and sound like ideal pets.
Anyone out there capable of shedding any light in this for me?
