I have a Hunter air cleaner I got from Sam's Club in my animal room.  The
room is about 10X12 and has two dog crates, one large cockatoo, a zillion
zebra finches and five ferrets living there.  The air cleaner is on all
the time and really helps.  One tip - be sure to buy extra filters before
you need them - all that fur and feathers really clogs up fast.  I recently
bought an air conditioner for the room too (mainly for the ferrets) and
that helps as well.
