Hi. I, too, have noticed that my ferts only wag their tails when in a
tube.
My fiance has a theory, which I think is a good one, that they do this to
make sure no one or thing is behind them to "get them" while they're in
these tight, confined spaces. What a smartie! I think he's right, because
they only do it in the tubes and never did it before I got the tubes a few
weeks ago (which they LOVE, by the way!). They are so funny to watch-the
tail wagging has me in stitches weeks later-and Nicodemus loves it when you
pick up the tube while he's in it and hold it vertically so he can run down
it (we're carefuly not to let him fall out when he gets to the end and
smack his noggin on the floor). Finnegan like to grab one end of the tube
and run away with it while Nic is in it-very funny boys!
