First of all, I want to thank everyone for all the advice you have given.
Now I need some more advice...Last night I was woken up at 4:00 a.m. with
the sound of one of my ferrets choking very loudly. I ran to his cage, he
was eating and appeared to be choking on a piece of kibble. After what
seemed like forever, the choking subsided and he went back to eating.
When my heart rate returned to normal, I began to wonder, what would I
have done if he couldn't dislodge the kibble? What can I do in the future
to prevent this from happening (I already moisten his food)? Please, if
anyone has had an experience like this let me know. I'd appreciate any
advice. Thanks.
Lisa
