One of my guys was diagnosed as borderline insolinoma last weekend, so all
this week I've been trying to get him used to eating the chicken baby food
and the chick gravy. This ferret HATES treats. The only thing he likes is
plain cheerios and strawberry twizzlers, and well, we know he can't have
twiizzlers anymore! So, I got him to eat the baby food on his own by
mixing some ferretone in with it, (breakthrough #1) and then last night,
after an AWFUL day at work I was dreading going home to syringe feed him
his gravy, I heated up his gravy and low and behold he ate half the bowl BY
HIMSELF!!! I was so happy I almost cried! No syringe feeding necessary.
My roommate, was of course happy for me, but I just had to share this with
people I knew would understand. :-)
