We have to administer to two of our ferrets 4 doses of Sulcrate 10 minutes
before meal and Prednisone twice a day. I have been told that we should
give Prednisone 1 hour before Sulcrate to make sure it is well absorbed.
The theory is that Sulcrate coats the stomach so well it prevents the good
absorption of Prednisone. I was wondering if it is necessary since having
to do this it complicates the medication/feeding schedule. A reply from
veterinarians or medical technicians, veterinarians or pharmacists would
be very appreciated.
