Dear Anon,
 
First, I rather seriously doubt any ferret ever turned away to yawn so as
not to frighten anyone.  They don't actually have the mental capacity to
perform such a sequence of responses... frankly, they could care less if
you are frightened by a ferret's yawn.
 
Where on earth did you ever get the idea that a ferret should have the
(human)idea that one shouldn't smell of one's own poop?  They're ferrets...
not small fuzzy humans.
 
You probably owe the shelter people an apology.  At least for these two
items.  As for your other accusations, you'll have to be a little more
specific, they're not very clear.  You don't seem to have any valid
complaints.
