Well, I owe a big apology to Judy Cooke, who I was going to meet with this
last week while she was in Las Vegas.  Please forgive me but things just
got wat out of hand, my days went by so quickly and I am running on empty.
I have some great stories to share with you all concerning the vet
conference, ya really meet so different folk there!!
 
Good news is that Drag and Slim Shady got fitted for their K-9 Carts, I
don't have the total price yet but I should by next week.  I know there
were a few folks that wanted to help with the cost, so please contact me
via e mail so I can discuss it more with you.  I really would like to see
them in there wheels asap, as I know it will help Drag walk again and
hopefully Slim Shady also.  Pics will be posted on my website.
 
I am sad to report that Skippy passed away on Sunday at the vet clinic.  I
brought his sis Bonnie to be with him during the week and he seemed to pick
up and was very happy.  He was eating more and looked great.  when I got to
the clinic on Sunday, he had passed away an hour before.  I'm glad he had
his sis with him at the end.
 
Panda passed away on Tuesday in her sleep with her cagemate Buddy.  We
suspect heart failure.  She was completly bald and had her adrenal surgery
2 weeks ago.  Both will be greatly missed and losing 2 in one week is more
that I could deal with.  also Dumbo my rat died this week also.  he was
very sick with resperatory problems and I had to put him down Sunday night.
 
so, anyway, i will post more later on, but right now I have to go rescue a
ferret in an attic.  I have not seem this ferret and wonder if it really
is one, but I put a carrier with food in the attic yesterday and I'm going
back today to see if I can figure out what the animal really is!!
 
also if any one is available in the Las Vegas area to help the shelter do
nails, ears and cages this weekend I would really appriciate it.  We are
full and I'm not feeling real great, just tuckered out!!
 
I have 2 ferrets that were rescued Wed night, they were left in an
abadndoned house with no heat for almost a week and they are at the vets
with severe resporatory problems.  I could use a foster home for them for
about 2 weeks, if anyone can help, please call me.
 
I will be picking them up on monday. and they need names, any ideas??
