WOW! Is it ever! Even board certified surgeons *only* charge around
$1,000 in the Puget Sound area. The following two vets are a bit closer
to you than Kirkland:
Dr. Kamaka is at the Bird & Exotic Clinic in Ballard, she is excellent
but her prices are also extremely high. But at the very least you need
a second opinion.
Dr. Barbara Deeb is at All Pet Vet Clinic in Shoreline (north Seattle).
I know that her cost for surgery is based on the amount of time it takes,
which relates to the amount of anaesthesia used etc. She does a lot of
these surgeries, so she works faster than most vets. At least I'm assuming
that why her costs are lower. Less than $500 and usually less than $400.
But...you would obviously need to talk to her about her fees.
I have heard that Dr. Liane Sperlich at Browns Point Vet Clinic in Tacoma,
(right in your back yard) *may* be good with ferrets, but you'd have to
check her out yourself.
