Actually, if the ferret played in the rice box AFTER contracting Giardia
this is not a good test.  Fecal matter could cling to feet, claws, or rear
of the ferret and get transferred to the rice in that way.  Then we might
all be getting excited and throwing away our rice boxes because of this.
Another problem with this is that she'd also be using water, from her
house.  What if that's the source of Giardia?  If she has some of the rice
still in the original package and used purified or distilled water I guess
that would be a better test.
