It was just another Friday morning. After a week of the dreaded midnight
schedule, my weekend had begun. The boys were winding down, Weezle was
slurping a drink of water, and BUDDY was speed bumping in the middle of
the floor.
Soon they wandered off for a nap. This is my time to watch some T-V, or
read the paper. This morning it was the paper.
Well into my paper I felt "something" climbing up my leg. Since Weezle is
the attention hog, I waited for the big-eyed silver face to crash under the
edge of the paper. To my surprise it was the face of BUDDY. BUDDY is not
a lap fert; any attention given is on his terms.
This was a surprise, First he had to get a drink of my ice water then he
settles on my lap with a big sigh. A few soft strokes down his back and
he's flipped over, he wants tummy rubs! A few more strokes a big big
sigh, and he's asleep. I can't believe this, BUDDY on his back, napping
on my lap.
For 40 minutes, I was blessed with this ungraceful fur kid. Not a nose
twitch, a paw flicker, nothing but deep and steady breathing.
A big THANK YOU to what ever higher power that gave this fur wonder the
desire to share a moment with me.They are so fleeting.
