If a shelter is advertising as a shelter and doing shows to support the
shelter then they better be just a shelter and not trying to pass off kits
they are breeding as *shelter adoptees*.

If a breeder is advertising as a breeder and does limited rescue, then they
should not be pan-handling donations for the ferts they take in as rescue.
And please, if another breeder dumps ferts and you, and as a breeder you
take them in, they should not be considered as *rescues*.

If a breeder is breeding too many kits per year and *gives* the unplaceable
ones to a shelter to *adopt out*, stop it! This should be a sign that you
are breeding too much and the shelter should stop being your *enabler* by
taking your overflow to fix and place.

If you are a breeder and you have too many ferrets, don't expect other
breeders and shelters to help you *cut back* just so you can *breed a few*
litters the next year.

All breeders should be given the opportunity to take back a kit/fert
that they produced. If a fert is turned into a shelter and that shelter
operator knows the fert came from a breeder, that breeder should be
contacted. How would the shelter person like it if they adopted out a
fert, it was sold to someone else then turned into another shelter in
horrible conditions? It can work both ways. Grow up people and work
with each other!

Breeders need to stop thinking that they are in competition with other
breeders and try to work with each other to improve the breed. Shelters
need to stop thinking they are the only ones out there, start working more
with others and stop trying to put other shelters out of business.
