Got great news!  Scooter's bilirubin is perfect now!  It was all the huge
hairball throwing off his liver values by inflaming it and inflaming nearby
nodes.  Everything (blood tests, ultrasound, weight loss, etc.) sure kept
looking like they were going to find some sort of malignancy in there
before surgery discovered that he actually was eminently treatable.  Glad
that we don't give up.  He is just racing around the place having a grand
old time again, and (sigh) he is back to grooming everyone everyday so he
gets furball meds each day even though a normal individual wouldn't get a
daily laxative.
