Dear Anonymous:

>Is it safe to treat a ferret that may have EE with Ivermectin injections?

Ivermectin injections at the appropriate dosages are safe and should not
intereact with any of the other problems you mentioned.

You mentioned also a ferret that has "possible EE" - how was that diagnosis
arrived at? Bloodwork or biopsy? Because of the overall poor prognosis of
EE, and the need for aggressively, often lifelong treatment of the disease,
it's a dianosis that should be positively and quickly made.

With kindest regards,
Bruce Williams, DVM
