>My vet put our latest rescue on Lysodren. I have given him info from the >archives about Lupron and he is very interested in using it on Silver. Lysodren is almost never used anymore. It doesn't keep well, it's action is variable, and some ferrets have such back responses to it that they have periodic bouts of Addisons crises. For a LOT of info on Lupron and a lot more health info check out and save these addies (esp. the Ferret Doctor site for Lupron info): http://listserv.cuny.edu/archives/ferret-search.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Ferret-Health-list http://www.ferretdoctor.com http://www.miamiferret.org/fhc http://www.afip.org/ferrets/index.html http://www.ferret.net/medical/ http://www.trifl.org/medical.html http://home.att.net/~hhoefer/ http://www.lbah.com/Ferrets/insulinoma.htm http://www.ferretcentral.org Anyone whose ferret is ever going to have a health problem needs to save and read the sites above (and a number of ones to which they link).
