Hi there!
I just read the post about the radio controlled Dodge Viper. I thought
I'd tell you about our escapades with a similar scenario!

My husband has an RC kit car, from when he was a kid! It still runs, we
play with and rebuild it every so often. Well, one day, the light went off
in our heads!! We decided to build a trailer for the car (a dune buggy
style vehicle.) We went to the hardware store, and got tons of wooden paint
stirrers, and some L shaped wooden sticks, the kind for trim work. We went
to the hobby store and bought an axle and two wheels and two tires. We
raided our closets for: brads, glue, a brass cup hook, a short piece of
1x2" wood...and some leftover FRP (we ferret-proofed the bottom of couch
with this stuff. It's heavy white plastic, the thickness of wood paneling,
for shower stalls, etc.)

We made a frame with the L shaped wood. Added slats of cut stirrers, the
bottom was FRP, and then stuck the hitch part on as the 1x2" wood, with a
cup hook for the "ball hitch"

We just hooked that over the engine mount on the back of the buggy and
away they went. Teaching them to ride was easy. I mounted a small travel
feeder ($1 bird dish) to the front of trailer, put some food and Ferretvite
in it, and let them eat in the trailer for a few seconds. Then, I drove
around the house slowly, while they ate. They got a little freaky at
first, but got used to it quickly. By the time they were done eating,
they liked to ride and wouldn't get out.

Now, I can take them outside, and down the street in the trailer. (I live
on a DEAD street) They just ride all over, looking at things. Every so
often, something strikes their fancy and they hop out to look.

Lesson 1: Don't go too fast. Car hits joint in pavement, trailer unhooks,
goes sliding to a stop with ferret on pavement. Luckily, it wasn't too
fast or violent and the ferret thought it was great!!! He dooked and
bounced about it, but I don't recommend it for fear of chipped teeth!!

I want to buy a Ford Lightning RC car and build a new trailer for it. The
ferrets loved it so much. What fun!!!!

Let me know if you have any luck with a trailer towing sports car! I'd
post pics of the trailer to my site, but it's at my parents since the
last time I moved.

If you have any questions on how to make it work, I'll try to help. We
love to have little projects like this!!
