Finally good news! Bandit my very elderly gentleman with both adrenal and
insulinoma had to go into surgery to have his left eye removed becuse of a
scratch that would not heal and was at the point of being very infected.
We were not hopeful given his medical conditions that he would recover.
That was yesterday. I picked him up at the vet yesterday evening. They
wanted to keep him all day and administer dextrose to keep him from
crashing. I brought him home and gave him his meds and bedded him down.
He was at that point prettey alert and not at all happy. When I got up to
check on him this morning, NNot only had he eaten a bit from his dish but
he found his way to the litter box. And with only ONE EYE. It was even a
pretty respectably looking present that he left. A bit on the dark side
but at least it was not tarry or runny. What a little champ he is and with
such a will to live. After losing Riley and Que, I thank God for Bandits
tenacity.
