One last comment please, before I close the subject of Kista in my book. I
take animal abuse very seriously. If there was something legitimate, I put
an open invitation out to the person making the claims to share their story
and proof. If they had legitimate concerns I was going to do everything in
my power to help them. Just about the only one I have not heard from is
this person. I have not heard from one single person about anything
negative they have seen or heard regarding Kista or Kim. I have heard from
many people that have told me good things about this shelter.

And I did not want the flames, but from being on other mailing lists in the
past (ferret and non-ferret related) I have seen a lot of people become
seriously attacked for their views. I have gotten some nasty emails (some
were down right entertaining) but most were very civil and I thank you all
again.

That is not important though. What is important is that I may have worded
some things wrong, but I do not feel sorry for wanting to make sure that
the ferrets were well taken care of. I have apologized to Kim and Kista
in personal email for any emotional pain I may have caused (this was
absolutely NOT my intention) and thanked as many of her supporters as I
could manage. I have seen abuse and neglect first hand. It is not a
pretty picture. That is why I take it to heart so much and get so fired
up. I was not out to attack a specific shelter, only to ensure the proper
treatment of animals I love. I hope that everyone can understand that.
