Hello Everyone-
It has been quite a long week - so to speak! Finally the ferret kids from
the NJ Xmas rescue are settled in -- all except for one NJ biter gal which
was placed in a qualified home for training. Those at the shelter are now
available in pics for viewing by interested folks at the adoptions page at
the ferret wise shelter site www.ferretwise.org

Just go to adoptions and click on the space to see photos-- you will find
both the shelter ready for new homes kids-- and our new arrivals from the
NJ Xmas rescue. We have a shelter packed with nice full cages and the new
kids will be ready to go ( unless they are in behavior modification class -
yes, there are a few) in approximately 15 days after the vet arrives to give
the rabies vaccinations.

All those interested in adoption should forward a SASE to:
Ferret Wise adoptions, PO BOX 561, Marlborough, NH 03455-0561

Those wanting more information on any ferret for adoption should address

Before closing- I would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the following
without whose help and assistance we would not have been able to make the
relay which brought 22 NJ rescue ferrets to shelters in the Northeast --

Martin's Critters & Cages - for expediting a cage unit which was needed
ASAP for assembly so we could accommodate the new additions! We love you
both!

Ray & Sandra Fox, Judith Williams and Randy & Cindy Roberts for $$
donations which helped with the road trip & supplies for the expedition.

Colleen & Amanda Fitzgerald for spending shelter helper night Thursday
assisting me assembling and outfitting 17 of the total carriers which
were used for the transport.

Cynthia Sullivan & Greg Jandris- who arrived early in the day Saturday
( even though we had a snowstorm) and helped with final cage setup and
mopping up wet snowy floors and finally in settling the new arrivals into
their own cage condos.

As the new kids start assimilating to the new environment their
personalities are starting to bud -- 2 marshmallows ( we thought) have
grown active jaws & sharp teeth :0 we know they will be here a while
longer than the rest ... overall- they are all zealous in their play -and
recovering nicely from surgeries.

Lastly - but certainly not LEAST! I would like to express to the readers
that this crew of ferrets came with wonderful medical care & test results.
I am certainly happy to have donated to a fund which afforded each ferret
an ADV test prior to shelter admission. This indeed protected all the
shelter ferrets and serving shelters. Overall, an overwhelming effort
went into the processing of the NJ ferrets at FuzzTek Central, and I for
one would like to thank firstly Anne & Jim Ryan-Kauzcka and all those who
assisted her in the caring & processing of these ferrets. An A1 job was
done and the ferrets will all find loving homes in short order because of
the dedication!

Alicia, my days are a little longer now!
